Whether you are getting married, buried, baptized, confirmed, or joining us for worship we strive to make all of our services unforgettable. We exclude no one and enthusiastically welcome the Holy Spirit into our midst.
Weddings
The Pastor and his wife are wedding planners. The pastor takes care of the ceremony, and his wife takes care of everything else. In good Awakening tradition we will marry anyone to anyone, any time, anywhere. Nadine once married a couple in their pajamas. Really.
Why be married by us? Three reasons:
1. We do what you want.
This isn't our wedding and we know it. We won't make demands or charge a small fortune for mandatory "counseling." Instead we will do what you want. Big or small, gay or straight, high church or secular ceremony, poor as paupers or break the bank, this is your day.
2. We remember the details, little and big, that you might otherwise be too busy not to forget.
And you will forget something. We've done weddings for couples who forgot about chairs, an altar, and a DJ. We didn't forget any of these things, and we won't.
3. We do this out of love. We will bill you what you can afford, not two arms and a leg.
Honest. We don't get the idea that only the wealthy should be able to afford a wedding planner. We will adjust to any budget.

Sunday School
The Pastor has a background in education, and a great love of teaching. We know that kids are distinct individuals, each with the potential to become strong, kind and thoughtful adults. With that in mind we do not preach at them or make them memorize dogma. Instead we kindle their creativity and imagination and help them grow into responsible citizens and big hearted adults.
We strive to teach kids at a level they can relate too. K-5 is focused on creativity and play. 6-8 focuses on morality and Confirmation and the Jr. and Senior High youth groups work on developing faith and how religion relates to their lives.
We provide child care at all of our worship services, and run Vacation Sunday School whenever we can.

Evening Prayer
A relatively new program at ASCC, we offer evening prayer every Wednesday, usually at the Pastor's home. This is a chance to find some time for quiet reflection in our busy lives. Please call ahead for time and location information.
